WE CARVE WORDS IN THE EARTH - MAHASEN NASSER-ELDIN
We carve words in the earth is a chronicle that weaves memory, geography and the archives to unfold stories of palestinian women and their toiled and connected struggles of feminism, colonization and nationalism between 1929 and 1948.
Searching the archives for Palestinian women’s history pose tremendous challenges to its researcher. The state of Palestinian national archive is as stateless as its people/subjects and colonial archives deny Palestinians their narrative.
Mahasen Nasser-Eldin write her/story through film, exploring representations of past feminist experiences and their relevance for us today. .
